2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Agate Leather Interior

I need to replace a panel on my drivers seat. I have the dark gray (agate) leather interior. The guy at the local upholstery shop told me that it was a discontinued item and the best he could do was a vinyl patch. I already tried that and am not wasting my money on that route again. I really love the look of the interior with this leather and do not want to go changing anything else. Did I just get one lousy shop or is there really not an availability of this material?

I know you can replace the whole lower section of the seat. They did this when my butt warmers went out.

You just got a lazy guy at a bad shop. You can replace the entire seat cover (lower) from the dealer parts department or you can find a reputable upholstery shop and perhaps get just the panel you require..... Good luck in your quest.

They are probably available used also. A friend of mine just got his truck back from being stolen. The only thing missing was the leather seats.
