Metal Band Saw Blades

No, not really. I have been holding off on posting anything about this but I can't stand it anymore.

June 24, loose 5th gear at 125K miles. Knowing transmission input is sloppy plus vehicle has been towed hard, decide to go with a rebuild. June 25, order same, expected date, June 28th. June 27th, FedEx calls, transmission should arrive tomorrow, call about 10am. Sign out transmission jack from work that evening, put down July 2 as a return date.

June 28th, no transmission. Since then, I was told it was located in about three different states but now am told it is nowhere to be found. Call supplier who says I must file a claim with shipper which I have just done.

Meantime, I have been limping around at 55mph more or less, using fuel, more wear and tear, have $2k plus on my CC. Guess now I have to do the 5th gear nut "fix" myself just to get by until this is resolved. I gotta go pop some ground hogs to release some frustration.

Guess I spoke to the right person from FedEx. I had not even loaded the 22-250 up when I got a call from the local terminal. Seems they found my transmission. I better get my butt over there to pick it up post haste!

At least FedEx didn't leave three notes on your door, three days in a row, pretending to attempt to deliver the package.

It happened to me. I watched & waited all day, and on their third atttempt, witnessed the FedEx delivery woman walk up to my door, slap up the note, and walk off, all without knocking or ringing the doorbell. No wonder my family missed it on both of the previous attempts. It was quite a scene in my front yard. :D I reported it, of course.

Speaking of FedX, I sent a package with documents in it to my brother back in Oklahoma last week before the 4th. with delivery to be on monday. Tuesday, they call my parents place (brother still lives with mom and dad) to get directions, mom called in the directions, got home no package, supposedly the FedX guy delivered it, but can't remember where and now the package is missing... . These were irreplacable origianal copies, which is why I didn't entrust them to the USPS... .

Morph.

Mission accomplished! I got to their terminal and got it on my truck for install tomorrow. (This was through American Freightways which they own. ) I had the feeling while talking to the guys on the dock that they knew something that I didn't. At this point, I need to let go of my frustration and get on with it.

When I mess up, I admit it. But then my memory is lacking so lies don't work for me.

I noticed that one of my freeze plugs was seeping a little coolant so I pulled 2 of them but no one local had that size, called Cummins in Vegas & they UPSed them out last monday, should arrive tuesday. Wednesday, no parts so I called, they shipped to the wrong state, they apologize, say those were the last ones in stock but they'll get some and Fed Ex Wednesday, should arrive Friday due to 4th of July holiday. Monday, no parts, Cummins says they went to Bullhead City, about 60 miles from me, then to Phoenix, about 230 miles away, then to Oakland CA, then back to Vegas and should arrive soon, they did. The next day the original shipment showed up. A work truck down for 8 days while my parts toured the USA. JTMcC.
