2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Air bag light

Is there a way to get the air bag light to go off? Without pulling the steering wheel apart? I think the clockspring may be broke, and I need to get that light put out. Any help will be most appreciated, thanks!

:-laf Ha! That's exactly what I was thinking of doing, only thing the safety inspector might notice it and question me, but if I'm lucky he won't even notice. I drove my Mazda truck around for 8 years with a piece of cardboard blocking the malfunctioning egr light.

The airbag light would turn off in my 2002 either. It was a bad clockspring. KL

I ended up pulling the bulb out. Not as difficult as I expected.
