Help with taxes from towing Please

Hey guys

Previous owner of my truck had it set up for a slide in. tie downs, leafs, and air bags. I don't know the brand of bags. they are valved independantly. What kind of pressures should i be running. empty, 20 psi lifts the back end almost 2 inches. Suggestions for empty, 500-800 lbs of gear in the bed, and towing well set up 7k 16ft box trailer.

never had air bags before and any help would be great.

I have Ride-Rites on mine and if I remember correctly it is 5 lbs min. /empty. I think it even says maintain 5 lbs to prevent possible damage. Max (on mine) is 100 lbs psi. I think the pressures are a personal thing depending on load. I always only put enough air to level the bed of the truck.

Yup 5lbs min in the bags. Each pound in the bags will be good for 50lbs in the bed. so for 800lbs you would want 16lbs in the bags. You have the ride rites if the bags are more round and the airlifts if the bag has straighter sides. Not sure what other types there are.

Get an on-board pump it will come with a gage. You can get a ride-rite pump kit for as little as $100. They work great and come with all the air line and fittings you need.

Thanks for the help. any suggestions on a gauge that is accurate at low pressures?

The dial type tire gauges are more accurate at lower pressures and are much easier to read than the pencil type.
