I had my Ram in for the airbag recall. Looking at the record he said it also had a tie rod replacement recall. I had the tie rod replaced 2 yrs ago in Az. THe repair order today said
" Remove NEW tie rod and replace with old style OEM tie rod. What the hell is that all about??? Replaced the new with an old one????? It is a new shiny black rod. They aligned the front end after. Drives good. He told me to keep my 2004.5 5.9L truck. In the end I will be much happier and have more

Also had the airbag recall done on my 2005 Chry. 300C

glad you got the mopars fixed I'm waiting on dealer to call 'bout gas tank for the C got airbags done last week for the C next will be the CTD recalls

Bob,
So you are telling me that it is now idiot proof??? That is a good thing............thx.

It is, and not since yesterday - even the parts I bought in 2013 are designed this way like you say idiot proof.

I can hardly believe that this is still not common knowledge to shops and informed customers.

What is the recall on the C gas tank??? What year vehicles are involved. I did not hear about that one. My 2013 300 had a recall on the alternator. That is repaired also.

the gas tank is a lifetime warranty---not a recall

just got my tank done yesterday---"completely free"

THE2005 C WAS STALLING AT FILL UP

The fuel tank warranty is if you have a specific problem. Unfortunately most dealers are just wholesale replacing the tanks (because they get paid to do it with no questions asked) and driving up the costs to FCA that will get passed on to you know who on their next purchase.
And very few cars actually have a bad tank.

sag2- I have been away from these forums for quite a while, can you expand more. Please, treat me as ignorant:

What is the deal with fuel tanks on a 3G? Member nibroc mentions "stalling at fillup." Is this the issue with the gas station pump shutting off before the tank is full? I know at one time there was a retrofit to cure the premature shutoff... if I recall, that fix required one to drop the tank. I have this problem on mine. Is Dodge replacing tanks to cure this?

How does the fuel tank relate to the issues with FCA?

Thanks.

Thanks, I missed that connection (too focused on Cummins and thought that was meant by "C" until I re-read this after you 'splained it.)
thanks.
