Is a set of air bags good for pulling or not. Do you want a stiffer suspension or looser because my spring are getting leaker so thought about air bags to stiffing it up.
sleddy is absolutely right--they will make you bounce--been there done that--your suspension stops go where the rear rubber frame stops are above the axles--unbolt them and make a plate that matches the base plate of the rubber stops and some tube steel or you can use some big nasty bolt for adjustability--just weld up a big ol' coupling nut inside a pc of tubing that's welded to the plate and there you go--chris
If you can't figure out how to make your stops try this it's an inexpensive way to stiffen your springs. . Go to Napa, Carquest or anywhere you can buy a set of U-bolts that will fit over your leaf springs at least 1/2" thick U-bolts. Find you some good heavy metal to make flat plates at least 1/2" thick so they won't bend. Clamp your leaf springs with your U-bolts and draw them up tight. I didn't think that would make that much difference on my 02 Shortbed but oh yeah. . The truck went from trying to drag the bumper on the ground to just just slightly. .
