Air Bags

What do ya have to spend to get the stuff install a set of these plus the compresser. I would install them so I wouldn't need to know labor.

I found the best price at camping world and they were 233. 00 for the super duty bags and 152. 00 for the dual gauge compressor with automatic presure that never lets the bags get below 5psi. load level 11. Takes about 6 hours to install the bags, the compressor is going to be fun trying to find a place in the engine compantment to mount it too. Mite just put it under the bed by the rear fenders.

When I had the air ride installed it cost me 1,800, the overloads got in the way so I went to a spring shop and had a set of u bolts made and used them to compress the overloads out of the way so that they would not interfere with the air suspension. leaving the overload springs was a consideration as I thought if I would get another truck I would transfer the air ride. How many of you folks with air bags left the factory overloads on. ?

Yep, my Air Lift 5000s are on top of the overloads... . big ol' heavy Lance setting up there in the bed. I signed the order yesterday on a new '03 Lance 1121... adding more weight

Who's air ride seat do you have?



Was a straight bolt in or was modification required?



Is it a complete seat or just a mount on the bottom of the stock seat?



Do you have any pictures?

Air ride seat question.

When I bought my dodge I thought it was the roughest riding truck that i ever drove and my driving experience goes back to the late forty's including tractors, trucks and tanks. so i bought air ride suspension and air ride seat just to make sure i did'nt miss anything. I bought the seat at a big truck dealer , most of them carry a variety of seats to choose from. when I installed the seat i used two existing holes and drilled two new ones. the seat comes with it's own platform and lays flat on the floor where the original seat was. I thought that i could mount the factory seat on the air ride platform but it looked to complicated. I believe that if you wanted to mount the original seat I would go to salvage yard and get a bottom from a seat that the air part was still in good shape. good luck stormy
