Would the stock air box be ok to run with a straight pipe, or should it be upgraded first. just wanted to try the straight pipe sense noise isnt an isue with me right now. :eek:
 
From what I've read here, there is no appreciable improvement by changing to a BHAF or whatever till your HP is up over 400 hp... ... ... ..... not sure if it is factual or not but it has been the consensus from what I've read. That said, losing the silencer ring and going to a BHAF sure sounds sweet... ... ... ... .
 
You are right, a stock airbox is good for 400+ HP. A BHAF is cool though :D

From what I have read the BHAF is only good up to around 400 hp. But the filtration is better than most after market system's. I would ditch the stock air box for a BHAF. IMHO.
