air cleaner element best one

i want to keep stock air hose whats been a good BIG



element that is NOT used with stock air box

i plan a metal box closer to radiator cross member



i see alot out the did you guys use a 5'' pcv pipe

to join air cleaner to rubber hose ?

both air cleaner and hose are rubber

any body make a neat coopler

I took the hose off and replaced with a section of aluminum tubing. Used 2 each 4" rubber elbows and clamps to replace it. On the end I had a BHAF filter but took that off and installed an AFE element. I have a PDR-HX35 and with this setup and the silencer ring removed, it was WAY too loud. I put the ring back in and can STILL hear the turbo singing.



All this is sitting in an Old Smokey mount.

Well, get an open air box... old smoky's are not longer available, I got the LAST ONE.



You will have to go with the ASA.



As for filters. aFe. 'Nuff said.
