Air cleaner foam element

Would anyone have a DC part number for the foam element part of the air cleaner for a 99 24V?



In a weak moment I let the oil change boys change the air cleaner element, they put in a Purolator filter (it has a pre filter piece glued onto it) and threw away the foam element on me.



I hate when that happens!

Follow up



Looks like the foam pre filter may not be required with some aftermarket filters like Purolator. They add a woven pre filter piece to the paper element and glue in on in place of the foam element.

i'd throw away that stock air cleaner and add a K&N or AMsoil.

The foam element is glued to the filter and replaced along with the filter (it's all one part). You didn't lose anything... Any new filter you buy should come with the foam already glued to it.

the filter that came from the factory on my truck didnt have any foam but the one from genos did.
