I have been thinking about trying to find an air compressor from a medium duty truck with the ISB engine to install on my Dodge. Does anyone know if this is possible? My thought is to use the compressor for air horns, suspension and stuff like that.

I noticed on a Freightliner with a Cummins and the air compressor was mounted where the vacuum pump is on my truck. Does the air compressor also act as a vacuum pump or are they two seperate units?

A little spendy but Kilby has complete kits. I have one on my Jeep. I use it ALL the time! I air down for the trails and air back up when I get to the pavement. Splunk around their site and you can buy just the brackets and junkyard the compressor and save some $$$

The air compressor will pysically bolt to your block, however once you bolt the power steering/vacuum pump to the back of the compressor it will interfere with your motor mount. The medium duty trucks use a front and rear motor mount system.
