OK my truck spent the day at the dealer, apparently it is the AC BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR that is bad. Of course they don't have the part and had to special order it. So my truck will be there another day. Well hopefully when it is fixed I'll have cold air again. Has anyone out there had this problem yet or even heard of it? And what would cause this to go out anyway? Oh well thanks for your other suggestions. TDR rules... ... .....

Oh I also had the safety recall done, #B04 power distribution center cable checked, although it does'nt really state what exactly they did and they could'nt tell me.

AHHh - you must be referring to the actuator that opens/closes the air-directing flaps inside the AC/heating ductwork...

Had that happen on an older Ford we had once - mine was easy to repair - the vacuum hose controling it had fallen off. Not much usually goes wrong with them - I've had a couple get mechanically hung-up a few times, but manually operating them always cleared the problem without any need for hardware replacement - sometimes, as happened to me once, a foreign object like a pencil will fall into the dash vent, work its way down to a flap, and jam it...

What do you mean they couldn't tell you?!?!?!?!

If they worked on the @#$% thing they can sure

tell you what they did!!! I guess being 6'4" I don't

get many stupid answers like that!!!! Don't mean to

sound like I'm blasting you, but just can't understand

that answer... ... ... ... ... R, J. B.

A/C blend? That would seem to be a non-sequitur. All incoming air passes through the evaporator, then through the hot/cold blend door. Perhaps *that* is what's bad? That door is controlled by the temperature knob via a cable.

And no, *I* haven't heard of one going bad.
