"NEW Bio-Diesel Plant in the North West"

WATCH OUT! New Ebay scam!

1998 5. 9 12v 3500 4x4, engine was recently changed prior to me buying. Did'nt notice but heater works, air blows hot, all out of defroster vent at windshield. No matter what setting high low fan, or air max or normal blows out of defroster vent. Anyone else ever have that problem? One post while back said dodge was'nt going to be rated best for air conditioning but... . help.

You either have a vacuum leak or a damper door or vacuum motor is stuck. The system defaults back to defroster circuit when the vacuum system is disabled. It used to happen to my 1998 gasser when I had the intake manifold leak. Every time I put the engine under a heavy load like towing uphill or hard acceleration, the defroster would blow ice cold A/C air up on the windshield, NOT at the overheated driver. Good luck!

I'm no expert....but

I'd have to go with a vacuum leak, or bad vacuum pump. Our A/C wont pull vac from the engine, IIRC we have a vac pump.

It could just be a line that fell off under the dash.
