I guess you CAN, but I've been told the oils are not compatible, or something like that. Point is, it isnt recommended. Greenleaf has a line on some R12a that is more environmentally friendly than R134, and more efficient.

You can but it ain't right, kinda like driving a Dodge Cummins while wearing a PINK muscle shirt. The R12a will mix with anything and is in no way toxic and corrosive like 134a.

Note To Self: Better get some different colors before we go driving again. :-laf
 
It just ain't right. It's corrosive and besides that it takes a larger condensor to operate properly. 12a is a refrigerent grade of PROPANE and is entirely free of any harmful chems and is much more effective than CFC12 or 134a.



Your truck will hold 14. 2 oz of HC12a compared to 41 oz of CFC12
