I'm curious if anyone has seen this before. When I have my vents open (front dash and floor) it blows such cold air its as if the air cond. is on, I have to turn up temp. so that it is comfortable. My truck also drips moisture from the air conditioner as if it is on. My '97 never did this. My truck is at the dealer right and I don't want them saying its normal if its not. Maybe I can give them a little direction on where to look if anyone else has had this problem.

I too have an '02 and my manual says in the climate controls section that the AC will run while the selector is in Bi-Level ( dash and floor vents selected ). I think this is stupid. I wish the AC had its own seperate switch so you could select AC in any vent mode that you wanted. BTW if your manual is the same as mine it should state that on pg. 114.

I just hate having the air on all the time, I don't know if is that much of a draw on mileage. Its just bothersome. Thanks for your help guys!

The position where it is dash only ... top right... then that is non AC. Just vent. All others use the AC in combination

I picked up my truck from the dealer last night and they said the air was working as it was suppose to. They showed the explanation in the manual. Guess I will just have to get used to it.
