Finally installed my Air Dog this past weekend. Appreciate all the insight for the installation. And I must credit my beloved pregnant wife who graciously helped disconnect that fuel supply line that's been on the past 11 years.

I'm concerned my pressure may actually be to high for the VP44. My Westach gauge is literally "pegged" @ 16+ all the time. Guess i should have opted for the 0-30 psi instead of the 0-16 psi gauge. Anyway, I'm thinking I should temporarily hook up my mechanical gauge which reads 0-60?

I kept the stock spring in the pump as the instructions say the alternate spring is for even higher desired pressures. Suggestions?

Thanks.

I am currently having the same problems with my airdog 150 I just installed. My guage reads to 30 psi and with the stock spring, I am running abour 23-24 psi at idle. Which is too much for the VP. I called Air dog and they are going to send me some different springs to try.

I would hook up your mechanical guage to see where it is. If your running just above 16 your probably ok, especially because it will drop a little at WOT. But I would call Air Dog if it is much over 17 or so.

Yes, you should hook up your mechanical fuel pressure gauge to see exactly where you are at. I run about 16-18PSI at all times. That would explain why your current fuel pressure gauge is always pegged!

I have a 0-16 PSI gauge also and it stays pegged. I did have it checked today and it is pushing about 18-19PSI at idle dropping to 16-17 PSI WOT. I have the Airdog 100 and it has been great, truck runs alot better than with stock lift pump.
