Doug @ EEP told me that when they requsted the use of the CARTER pump for thier pusher kit ... that CARTER told him ..... use of the pump in a diesel application is not perfered and that they WILL NOT WARENTEE IT.

Maybe I misunderstood ?

Ladies and Gents i present you... the next flavor of the week! (trumpets please)..... let me guess, they only want 2/3rds the price they are ripping you out of for the Air Dog? after all, it doesnt filter out all that bad air.

for high HP apps the Mallory 4140 is cheaper $$ and proven to last just as well. rebuild kits are available etc etc etc... . and how many $80 Carters have you seen failed? Where's Steve St. ? he's had his on for years now. plus you know one of the hundreds if not thousands of parts stores will have one in stock in this great country IF it does fail. remind me agian, where do i go when the brushes wear out on this PUPPY? what's that, i have to order them, from how many places that are open extended hours?

entrained air..... entrain this! yep. 140,000+ miles and 550HP, that entrained air is JUST detroying my engine. 18+MPG empty, 14+ towing, god save me! lets see, this is my 5th truck i have put over 100K on and not one bad injector not even poor mileage from this entrained air demon. guess I'm just lucky huh? yeah, 5 times over!

i have yet to see proof these gadgets are worth half what you guys are paying for them and they are not even heated. why cant someone build something that works that is not price inflated the to match the builders egos? I feel sorry for these guys who cant muddle through the BS out here about fuel systems. its a transfer pump fellas, the friggin tank will practically gravity feed the VP. oh and that cummins filter housing (the one up front that's heated and has a WIF sensor) that's a POS huh? boy, those go bad daily. and the filters are sooo hard to find too.

flame suit on, and yes i feel better :D

Todd, tell us what you REALLY think!

Todd must have had a hard day at work; now he's come home and is kicking the snot out of this 'puppy'! ;)

Todd, I applaud the fact that you have had nothing but wonderful success with your present lift pump de jour, but many others have not been so fortunate. I don't necessarily disagree with what you are saying, but please have some compassion for those who are still looking for the 'Holy Grail' of lift pumps.

Didn't anyone tell you that asbestos shorts are considered to be hazardous material? :-laf

I'm positively elated that you are feeling better!

Cheers!

I have seen one fail. It was on the side of the interstate roughly 200 miles from home. Ended up costing me meals, motel, a day off of work, and $200 for a lift pump at the parts store the next morning. All in all, about a $500 mistake for me. The pump had about 1500 miles on it.
