Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Air filter monitor

With the K+N filter freshly cleaned or a new factory filter, Mine sucks down to 100% plugged at less than half throttle. And yes I have a new amsoil EaAU on order! I'm wanting to check the guage and wondering if there are specs on how much vaccuum should move it how much? I think it'll be fairly easy to check with a vac pump and guage.



Also, has anyone tried heatwrap on hte tube to try to keep a little more heat out and did it help?

Dont pay attention to the dinky factory filter minder. They arent worth a s***.
