I just ordered the new one from Amsoil for my 2006. They are guaranteed for 100,000 miles & only need to vacume the filter. No oil or other cleaning needed. I think it was around $50. 00.

I just went to Amsoil.com. You can put in your zip for dealers. Also you can put in your truck info & it will give you the info for all your truck needs,Oil,gear lube etc. Good Luck

AMSOIL in my opinion is the very best. The balance between filtering and airflow is unmatched. That is what brought me to become a dealer, after reading all the comparisons on oil and air filtration. Good luck

When I had my '05, I went to the dealer for an oil change, and my service advisor noticed I had put in a Fram Air Hog. I was advised to replace it or run the risk of having my nice 7/100,000 warranty voided. It seems, according to DC, that aftermarket filters increase the chance of drywashing the cylinders. To tell the truth, I never noticed a difference between stock and aftermarket anyway. I have a WIX stock filter in my '01 now, replacing the K&N that was in it, when I bought it. I cleaned a ton of black goop from my turbo inlet last weekend, confirming that the filter oil does muck up that area.

The Amsoil Nanofiber filters seem to be good filters. They are made by Donaldson, and claim some pretty impressive filtration and flow specs. The best part about them is they don't have to be oiled (eliminating oil and gunk on the turbo blades) and they are reusable. I am running the Amsoil 4510 (open BHAF style) on my truck.

For six years I've run a AMSOIL stock size, oil bath air filter and have watched it closely. I do oil analysis every other oil change and silicone has always been low (<2 as I recall). Just recently I noticed a very slight film of oil on the inlet veins so I cleaned things up, ran awhile with a stock paper filter. 3k miles later no oil film. I think the AMSOIL filter deteriorated to the pt it wasn't working well. I ordered and just installed the new dry AMSOIL filter (part # is in above post for stock box) and I'm happy with the fit and simplicity of maint (vacuum or air blow out every year). I'm running it on a long trailer hauling trip coming up and we'll see how things look.

After replacing my stock filter, (which sucked down filter minder down 2/3 with my mods) with the Nanofiber Amsoil, the minder doesn't move. EeA 189 I think. I've gotten too lazy for oiled filters.
