2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Air Filter

I read in the latest edition of TDR about the lack of a foam pre-filter on Mopar air fliters. Sure enough I pulled mine from my 99 2500 that I had the dealer install a few months ago. Mine had none. I went to the local NAPA store and bought a new one. It came with the form pre-filter attached. I replaced the dealer installed filter as soon as I came home. The counter person told me it was the last one they had in stock, so I'm not sure if NAPA will continue to use the foam pre-fliter. The part # is 6272 NAPA Gold. Thanks for the awesome magazine.
