Amsoil all the way,I still have a K&N in it but as soon as the Amsoil gets here K&N will be gone. .

If you are keeping the stock airbox, go with teh Amsoil. But NOTHING beats the K&N RE-0880 with the foam filter wrap p/n 25-0880. With that combo you will out flow any other filter on the market and still get excellent filtration. The Amsoil flows great in the stock airbox but the problem is the airbox's inlet is just too small for a modified engine. If you have nothing more then an exhaust and dont care about hearing that awesome Turbo sound, you can keep the stock setup. I have heard that the Amsoil filter in the stock airbox can come apart and let pieces of foam enter the engine. I have never seen this happen and tiny pieces of foam would just be burned away. So i would not worry about that happening. Good luck

I had a K&N RE0880 with the red prefilter sock for awhile then pitched it for the Amsoil airbox filter, which I like better. My K&N let too much dirt through, but I think I had a bad one. Others report better filtration and low silicon counts in oil analysis than I did.

As far as the airbox, removing the snorkel between it and the fender is a MUST if you are BOMBed at all. Also drill some holes in the bottom half of the airbox for more flow.
