Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) air filter

Going down to cummins to get a new air filter tomorrow, they have an af4189 in stock. I looked at it on the internet, and it looks like it has foam on the bottom. I dont remember the part number of the fleetguard filters that Ive gotten in the past, but they havent had foam on the bottom. And I do remember the tdr advising against the foam.
Is anyone familiar with the af 4189 ? Is it new and an upgrade to the older air filter ? Should I worry about the foam ?

Well, I found that the af4189 supercedes the af25541. But now Im still concerned about the foam piece. But if fleetguard (cummins) sells it that way, it must be ok.

Picked it up a while ago. Interesting. Picture on the web shows foam, but the filter has none. Concern was about nothing I guess.
