I serviced my truck. Check the air filter (stock) it was fine, but noticed the plastic fitting that goes though the fender hole was aginst the air filter. I tryed to shove it back in, I must not had it lined up right and in a hurry probably made it worse, I pulled it out. WOW the jake and exhaust is louder, and I can even here the turbo whistle now. I wonder if the fender area is alittle plugged. Don't get me wrong I like the sound diffence.

Any thoughts-pro-con? I am towing a car to NC this weekend.
 
Actually, it's supposed to just rest against the filter housing, ie. , not through the hole. There are plastic tabs that hold it in place in the fender.

Pro? Good for you! I took mine out too before I went to a BHAF. First I took that tube out, then cut some holes in the box, then replaced the whole thing with a Fleetguard BHAF, much better!
