air horns

alright i tried doing a search and found alot of info but not exactly what i am looking for. i just bought a horn for $10 and now i need to buy the plumbing. where can i get a elec. soloniod for this that i can wire into my stock horn switch. all the tubing and tank issues i think i can handle but i need help with the soliniod thanks in advance -- drew

Try giving rickson truck accessories a shout. I picked one up from them I am thinking it was 15 bucks.

I've seen whole systems as well as parts on ebay. Might try there.

They carry them, Either Grover or Hadley brand. Work great. Got one from Napa and it must have drawn too much juice, it would only fire intermitently. They also sell the pressure switch for the tank. I used a $10 tire inflator compressor from Wal-mart and wired it through this switch. Been over a year now with no problems.

The solenoid that I got from Ricksons is by far the heaviest and best looking one that I have run across so far. I have the one from JC Whitney and it looks like a toy compared to what Ricksons is selling.



The one from JC Whitney did work fine, in fact it's going to be reinstalled on my wife's minivan



I'll try and get some pictures of the two of them tonight.
