Well I bit the bullet and bought a 2014 with the 6.7 and 61,000 miles I've only had it a week and already have a problem. Of course my 2004 with 250,000 on the clock is still running good.
I noticed that the clamps, 4 in all, on the intake are broken, likely over tightened with a air ratchet. Three of them are no trouble and I ordered at Dodge and picking up tomorrow. Problem is the one in middle is only available with the duct as an assembly at $400. This is just an Ideal clamp with two slots that fit over rubber tits. would it be a bad move to trim the tits off and use a large Ideal clamp. I never ran into this on my 04.
If things don't don't start looking up I may sell it and keep my 04.
As usual thanks for any help you all can give me.

Go for it, just choose a decent clamp for it.
The slots are just for the assembly line in the factory so they don't have to fiddle around with a moving clamp.

that is how I would handle it.. you can always put a couple large hose clamps together end to end if you can't find exactly what you want.

Is it one of these?

Just get the proper size stainless steel clamp and remove the holders. Have done that one mine with no issues! Like @Ozymandias has stated, that's for how the assembly line keeps them in proper place upon assembly. I bought a 10 pack of the largest size and trimmed down when needed. If you really wanted to do, get out the dremel tool and cut out for the tabs. Great to see your watching out for those issues and catching them!

That is it, there is not a Ram part number for the large one. I am going today to buy a ss clamp to fix it.
As usual thanks greatly for everyone's help.

My whole assembly only has one clamp on it. Who knows how long it’s been that way. Somehow stays together and stays on the turbo.

At some point it’ll be a priority. I have the clamps, just need to put them on.

I split an OEM one off the turbo when it shifted into high pulling my toyhauler in a 100 degree day. Replaced it with a double worm clamp off of my dirt bike. Stopped at a Loves Truck stop on I 40 and bought a real springloaded clamp and replaced it at the camp ground later.. Buy the way I change my oil filter from underneath with out any special tools, just reach up and spin it off into a coffee can....real easy.
