Thanks for the info fellas. The folks at PDR have been working hard on a fresh website and we have already worked out our advertising, and for sure it will be reflected on their new site.

Be sure to check PDR's site in short order - they are planning to have click-purchase ability from the web pages - should be a very smooth ordering system.

well... let's just say the guy in the Ford will ask you how big your turbo is once he catches up to you at the next light :-laf.

Well I ordered mine, but PDR didn't have any in stock, so it's going to be 2 more weeks I guess... Thanks for your input Mad Max I can't wait to hear it!!!!

From what I have read, it doesn't help any to install this kind of intake. They say that a modified stock box with a different filter is best.

What is the real world effect you guys have seen? Should I get this intake, or modify my stock box?

I am very happy with my BHAF. I purchased a stock filter from NAPA (2790) that clamped directly on to the stock inlet tube. I just removed the air box and placed the new filter in the same spot. The whole thing only cost about $50. I am not sure how the performance of this mod compares to a purchased kit. It works great for me, added boost and whistle plus it was much cheaper!

Folks -

Saw the bump and wanted to get out a quick update. Intakes are in work, and PDR should have them soon. The wife and I just got back from our honeymoon, and the components arrived while we were gone. I'll have them ready to go asap once they are back from the powdercoater and the quality is verified. Thank you for your patience and patronage.

Leper: The actual effects we have tested are quicker turbo spool-up and a corresponding increase in low end power - meaning the power curve climbs sooner than stock, lower cool-down times, and slightly better mileage. Other benefits are great looks and sound.

I have also been testing a new, simpler support bracket design for the heavy end, and the new bracket will be included all the new kits.

Congratulations Sam, that is the best reason to be backlogged! :)

Thanks for the intake stats. I had only been thinking about top end boost and power when I did my dyno BHAF test. I will probably switch to your setup when I change the air filter.

BTW I still would like to see that overkill RC when it comes to Moab. :D

Thanks for the update, I was wondering what's been taking so long. I actully called PDR and was like is everything okay?... . I thought they lost my order or something because it's been like 2 months now. Anyway, I can't wait to get it!!!!

I got my intake in and on and I love it!!! Not near the turbo whistle I thought I was going to get, but the power is GREAT!!! I'd recommend this intake to anyone with a first gen. The powder coat job is top quailty, clamps are inner cooler clamps and everything in a whole is top quailty!!! Great QA and Great Product Mad Max!!!
