I just changed my air intake switch which turns on the cold start advance. I just thought I would post this for anyone who has a truck that has started to run rough when it is cold out. I have done this on a few trucks. When you order the part make sure you tell them switch not sensor. I test its operation by when the truck is cold turn the key on and you should have voltage going to the cold start solenoid.
On another note my old switch was covered in dirt reminding me that my engine has ate a fair bit of dirt. It doesn't burn a bunch of oil and just smokes a bit. I will have to get my other engine ready to drop in someday.
I'm glad I drive a Dodge when it gets cold as they still start. Don't make a bunch of heat but they start.
