Air matresses - any recommendations on what to get?

Looking for a good one. We have had 2 wal-mart queen size and they don't last. We only use it for "overflow" and when we camp or travel.



I've looked at an "Aero" brand.



Any recommendations?

I used one in my pickup camper last fall, and nearly froze to death! Well, not really but I was cold enough all night that I got very little sleep! They seem to just stay cold where a mattress warms up from your body heat.



We used to use one when we tent camped, and yes, it kept going bad, but the one we bought had a lifetime warrantee, so I just kept taking it back every couple times we used it.

Hmmm looks like "Select Comfort" only has "real" mattresses.



It appears I used the wrong name - I'm looking for an "air bed". The type you can blow up with air - hoping the air stays in - and then later, release whatever air is left and fold it up and put it away.



I've seen several places advertising an "AERO" brand air bed - any clues if they are any good?

I don't know who makes it, but I bought one at Costco recently that has the memory foam top and built-in rechargeable pump. It has worked great the two times I've had it in the tent. I think it was around $80.

Besides Aero beds, there is another brand called "Bear Beds". Haven't tried either one, but they look like they are built fairly well for an air matteress. We personally use the Select Comfort, which we have liked a lot. Just a little pricey.

Aero is great, ver comfortable. We have two. My wife wanted to ditch our regular bed and just sleep on the Aero after we tried it camping.

Second vote for the Areo beds, I have three different brands of air beds and it is always a fight for who gets the Areo.

My wife and I met up with her parents last week at a tiny cabin in Mn. They brought a Coleman queen air mattress for us to use for 2 nights. It blew up to about 6" thick and I thought it was very comfy but almost needed Dramimine to get on and off of it! It was heavy weight material and held air all night. Craig
