What is the best air bag (to support large load)?

Searching around on the net (get a life, I know :p ) and came accross a company that makes air ride hitches for Class V , 5ers and Goosenecks. Pretty cool. Anybody have this?? Seems like a good Idea, although I'm sure its pricey (no prices given on the site).

URL works for me. Unfortunately I have no experience with air ride hitches, but I have seen them on several medium duty trucks pulling large 5ers.

Fixed It

Sorry about the link not working. :( That's what happens when you stay up all night on the 'puter! Fixed it now. :D

Dkevdog - First off, be aware that the Original design and patent for Air Ride Hitches belongs to Easy Rider Hitch. This particular person that keeps advertising "his" air ride hitch is under a legal suit due to illegally selling this product.

If you would like to read about the lawsuit here is the article... sometimes this information is really helpful. click here.

Just to kinda give you my $. 02... I have been in a vehicle that has an air ride 5ver hitch and it made a world of difference. The truck drove felt like there wasn't a trailer behind it. It was pretty awesome. Though these hitches are a bit pricey.

Hope this helps

TDR comes through yet again!!

Kev, thanks for the update, I just got off the phone with the "real people" - thanks for the "heads-up" on the ongoing legal situation.

This looks perfect for what I want, a little pricey but in my experience, you get what you pay for and you pay for what you get..... Seems like it was made to complement my air over hydraulic brakes, tri-axle flatbed trailer :D:D

Didn't Know.........

I didn't know about the lawsuit or the patent infringement... ... . Thanks for the news.

About how much do these go for anyway? I'm gonna give em a call anyway, but I was just curious about the whole thing.

Bte Bye Benjamin....

Kev, it's actually a policy of the TDR website not to discuss vendor pricing in the forums overtly for a variety of reasons, so just make a phone call to their toll-free number in Oklahoma. Suffice to say, that for an air ride hitch (bumper, goose or 5er), you'll have to say goodbye to Benjamin Franklin quite a few times!!;)
