i am thinking of purchasing one of these hitches and was wanting peoples opion on this subject. the one i am looking at is the easyrider hitch. any comments please.

I've had an Easy Rider 15K hitch for two years. Think it's definitely superior to a rigid hitch. Don't get as much bucking between the fiver and the truck, however, my Easy Rider doesn't have any give on the fore and aft axis, just up and down. I've recently seen advertised a hitch that has some give fore and aft as well as up and down. You might look into that.

Also, the Easy Rider is heavy. Removal takes a block and tackle in my garage. I drop it on a roller dolly for moving around in the garage. My old Reese hitch could be man handled.

I'm happy with the Easy Rider. Better is the enemy of good enough... as the saying goes.

They've a website. www.easyriderhitch.com

As my sig shows, I'm using the EasyRider and, at the risk of sounding like one of their sales weenies, highly recommend it.

Not only does it do everything that the company claims for it, it even lives up to their testimonials. :D

On a recent trip through the hinterlands of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska, the isolation of the truck from the trailer helped tremendously to save my back and tailbone as well as protecting the frame of the trailer. [It was "slightly" overloaded... ]

Go to their site and read what others have said about them, keeping one [hard to believe] factor in mind: the claims are true.

Would I buy another one from them? Only if someone stole this one or I bought a different type of trailer - otherwise I wouldn't be in the hitch market at all!

I got there lit. about a week ago--boy are those boys proud of those things--guess I'll just have to put up with a little more jaring... ... ... ... ... ..... R, J. B.

I also own one of the Easy Rider hitches, and it was a retrofit that went directly onto my RBW Lil rocker rails. I was torn between the Advanced Air Ride hitch, but had trouble getting over the plastic type material they used for their slide cams. Also they susposedly have had issues with patent infringement etc.

It was a little priceier than I would have liked, but I think it is like buying a good tool vs. a cheaper imitation. When I received it, the workmanship was great. As was mentioned earlier, it is heavy, but you would expect it to be for the movement it has to restrain. Would I buy it again? Yes, without hesitation. My back and recent stomach surgery would not let me travel with the conventional hitch. Good luck on whatever route you decide.

Consider the TrailerSaver air ride hitch also. Not as pricey as the Easy Rider and has much more capacity. Can be ordered with different heights for varying truck bed hieghts also... . Comes with a Holland head which is a mini version of a big rig hitch... . absolutely no play in the jaws... ... 22,000 lbs capacity ... . takes up less room in your truck bed..... works great also..... can be ordered with internal compressor... ... Oo.

hitches

I use a Pullright Superglide and love it. For a slider its fool proof. If you need a solid hitch they also make stationary hitches up to 20,000 lbs. The good part of the Pullright Hitch is the mounting system which mounts to the frame with out drilling any holes in the frame of the truck. You do need to drill 4 holes in the bed of the truck to mount the rails which come out to leave a clean bed. I've had no problems in any way and have nothing but high recommendations for the Pullright Products they're built strong and are well engineered.

THANKS

THANKS FOR THE REPLYS FOR SOME REASON I WAS NOT NOTIFIED FROM MY MAIL. BUT ANYWAY I AM GOING TO GO WITH EASY RIDER . I WANTED TO HERE FROM SOME OF YALL CAUSE I AM GOING TO SHELL OUT 3K EASY FOR THIS THING AND I WAS JUST WANTING TO MAKE SURE IT IS LIVING UP TO ITS NAME (EASYRIDER) I JUST HOPE IT WILL SMOOTH THINGS OUT ON I-10 THREW LOUISANA. BUT THAT WOULD BE A TEST ON ANY SUSPENSION>:)

Is anyone using the air ride system that attaches to the kingpin? I just installed a B&W turnover ball, and am looking for the best deal on a companion hitch so I don't want to start over with a different hitch. I've seen a couple of these on the internet, just wanted to hear what y'all think? Thanks. John
