Did anyone happen to see TNN Sunday morning? They installed a total air ride on a new 3500. Removed the coil springs on the front and installed air bags. Same on the Rear, no springs. Total air bag ride. Compressor and tank mounted under the box on the right side. Could raise and lower the truck about 6 inches. Total cost is about $1300. When it got all done my wife looked at me and said NO

komik, I saw that, I was real impressed 'till I realized it was a lowering kit!! I got the # to the manufactuer. I want to see if I can just get a kit for the rear,to keep it at the hight it is now. Also that kit on the show was $3,000!!!!!

I thought $1300 was cheap for that. I didn't actually hear the price. My wife thought they said 1300. They sure made the install look simple and easy. If you got the phone number would you send it my way. After wards my wife said if you can earn the money on the side doing odd jobs to go ahead. Only thing is I will be getting a 2003 sometime in mid model year.

The price was 3 grand for the two wheel drive kit. I dont know if they have a 4wheel drive on or not. It would prolly be alittle more bucks. Im not a fan of lowered trucks but can see the guys who are buying this product.

Don~

maybe check out the site it was on and see if they have links. Popular Hot rodding was the show I think. Maybe!

Don I think it was Crank and Chrome. I was amazed that they did not put in a plug for the manufactorer. This about how many times they said bully dog when they were doing the propane on that truck.

Hey guys, I just called Air ride tech. ,that's the company that made the kit, they don,t sell a kit like I wan't ,it sounded like just lowering kits. Here's the #... ... ... . (812)482-2932

I thought it was the Horsepower show that had the 3500 on it, when I flipped over and saw them doing the air bag install yesterday they referred to the truck several times as the "Horsepower Hauler". Same show devoted the last few minutes to a Mustang meet, lots of nice cars.

Air Bags

It was Horsepower TV- I am looking to raise my 4x4 not lower it- what would the benefit of this kit be on a 4x4 except maybe ride?

There is a guy around here who builds show quality trucks (Chevys, mostly 4x4's) and almost all have some sort of air ride setup. No springs. I'm sure they ride nice, but the price is a little too much for me? I guess if I was able to have a show truck that I only drove on the weekends, the price wouldn't be an issue anyway.

A friend of mine is going to market the "Air Ride Suspension" he has on his truck. It is complete with compressor, air tanks the whole thing. No springs left on the truck. Here is what his truck look like.

CALVIN'S TRUCK

I'll get better pictures of the suspension shortly.

He has been talking about marketing them for quite some time. I'll get some pricing.

The thing that caught my attention on the air suspension was the four link rear suspension. I've been day dreaming about a four link rear for my truck, to get rid of the rear wheel hop and freeway expansion joint hop.

Tonight I was looking through the Nov. Off-Road and I saw an ad from AIM industries for a four link air bag rear suspension made by Chassis Tech for $975.

I think it would be the best of both worlds, I could level the truck, and still raise the rear end for heavy loads.

Complete air bag system

Have talked to people who have used Kelderman's air ride system. They are made in Oskaloosa, Iowa. 1-800-334-6150 is ph. or www.keldermanmfg.com They have different options depending on what you want! I know I would sure like to try them.

HORSEPOWER HAULER

two or three weeks ago they put two boxes, injectors and bully dog LP system on it. I caught the end of this show and the air bag show. They were putting out 412 or 425 horses with the stock clutch and no guages.

Can you say clutch smoke when they decide to stomp on it with a trailer.
