I'd like to hear (pro's and con's) from anyone that has replaced the standard bench seat with Air Ride seats. I just can't take the pain anymore. I'm also willing to hear any other ideas that will make things more comfortable.

I was looking at some new air ride seats the other day at a dealer. With the air ride down all the way the seat stands about 2" taller than the stock Dodge bucket seats. By the time you add enough air to not bottom out that would add another 3" to 4". For me that puts me to high in the truck. I am just a little under 6'. If your down in the 5' something range one might work.

Check out a set of Caravan buckets. Ones from about the same year model would be close to our buckets. I am not sure what you would need to do on mountings.

There is an air seat made for the standard cab of the Chevy big truck line. It is a low ride setup that will work in our trucks. It is around 700 bucks and that has so far kept me from getting one. I had the Dodge bucket which had deteroriated to the point (440k miles) that I had to do something. I changed to a Caravan seat and have made a trip to Michigan from Georgia and I can say that it is much better. I believe that an Intrepid seat with full power adjust would work nice as well. I found that the bench on my 92 was more comfortable than the original bucket.

Check the net for info on a air cushion. There is one for a couple hundred that looks interesting. I think it is called an Airhawk and is built from designs developed for medical patients.
