The other day I saw an ad for a 92 Dodge W350 Cummins that was equipped with 'air ride'. Is this on the front suspension or cab? I was just wondering if anyone was familiar with this or if there is something similar that can be installed to give a better ride on the 1st gen trucks.

Hey Deere-

That wouldn't be anything from the factory. He's probably refering to those Firestone aftermarket air bags/springs that can be installed on the rear for a more comfy ride. (maybe front, too?)

I have the airbags on the rear of my 90 model. They may have softened the jolts somewhat but they create a lot of extra bouncing when not loaded. They work good when heavily loaded.

Deere:

I have had the single bag from Kelderman on my rig for about 3 years now and have found that it made a big difference in the ride. It also makes it easy when I hook up to my camper. I just add the amount of air that it takes to level things up.

At first I was concerned about putting in too much air in the bag,

and was told that the bursting pressure was 300 lbs!!!
