I understand there is an air temperature sensor in or on the intake manifold. Anyone know where it is and what it looks like? Is this something I can change easily?

Also, the Engine Control Module, same questions; where, what's it look like and can I can change it easily? Any idea about costs for these two items?

The truck is 98. 5 --24 valve

IAT- Intake Air Temp Sensor

Drivers side of engine, towards rear of it, you should find two sensors first one is MAP -manifold air pressure , farthest one back is IAT say 6 inches or so below your valve cover 1 1/16 or 1 1/8 deep well socket should get it off.

ECM is a bit forward of that but farther down on the block. There is a 50 pin plug attached to it cant hardly miss it. 1 inch thick 8 inches long or so 4 or 5 inches tall lays flat on the block. Two I think 10mm bolts hold it on they are on each side might be three with one in the middle cant remember. You will also need an allen or torx bit cant remember that either for the wiring harness plug, screw is in the center of the plug.
