I started the truck this morning, and the air bag light came on. Then while merging onto the interstate I found out that the Horn is not working either.

Any one have any insight as to what would be wrong? Is there a common fuse, or has horning the horn too much killed both of them. Any help would be great,

Thanks.

It may be the clock spring.

This, if you don't know , is a rotating wire assembly under the steering wheel.

Are there any codes?

Does the cruise control work, if you have it?

Thanks for the quick reply. Cruise works, and there are no codes. Would the clock spring be shorting the circuits? Is removing both of the battery grounds and waiting a minute or two enough to disable the airbag for steering column disassembly, or is this something the dealer has to do for me?

(When did they stop letting you use S T E E L E R in place of dealer? I just tried it and it replaced it with *******. )

Thanks again.

It is a common fuse. My horn started blowing in the middle of the night last week and pulled the fuse. Now the air bag light is on. I guess it didn't like being left outside at -28F ;-) Still haven't made it to the dealer.

OK it is not the fuse, I have done most of the checks in the manual (the ones I don't need the dealer tool for). Any more ideas?
