Hey all. I have a set of Airlift bags off of an old Chebby and was looking at putting them in my CTD. It looks like a go, but was wonderin' about the inner fender liner. Did yous guys with the kit intended for our trucks remove it entirely, or just cut it enough to fit the bracket and bags in? Any pics? I know I ask alot, but having had the bags on one of my trucks, I know how nice it is to have them and would like them on the Dodge. Thanks for any insight you have.

Have them on my truck. I just cut the bottom lip on plastic liner that curls inward around airbag area. Also put a spacer, (washer or two), between liner and fender on the center retainer clip. Enough clearance to put your fingers between them, no rubbing.

DB I just got thru puttin my Firestone airbags off my dorf on the Ram. Like BKirk says, cut the bottom lip off the liner. One of mine rubs and the other doesn't, maybe need shims on that side? I've seen them where the center section is cut out so the liner doesn't have to be removed but it don't look good at all. I just ripped the 14 clips out and after pricing new ones @ $1. 80 ea. I went to the store and got nice stainless mach. screws, finish washers and nuts for $ 13 for all. Looks good. Hardest part is drilling the frame.

Thanks for the replies. Did you cut the liner out to go around the bracket, or all the way across the bottom? I assume the brackets go on the outside of the frame like they did on the Chev? Thanks again.

Dan

DB I just cut about a 6 inch section of the liner out up about a quarter inch from the bottom in the middle where the airbag is. On mine the upper bracker had four holes that needed to be drilled in the frame. Yes. the bracket is on the outside of the frame. Hope this helps, George
