Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Airbox to Turbo Hose

Hey guys, I need a serviceable flex tube to go between the stock airbox and the turbo.



If anyone has one collecting dust I'd be happy to take it off your hands. Haven't priced one from DC yet but I'm sure it's not pretty.

Go to Home Depot and pick something up there. Make sure it's got no drainage holes, though. Mine's light blue They got orange, too. Cost me 2 dollars.

Is it plastic stuff you're using or rubber like the original equipment.

woops, hit send to soon, anyway . i'm having a custom stainless mandrel bent air intake hose made up. my stock one will be available soon. if you want stock, let's just stay in touch.

Sounds good, if I don't have one before you get it freed up.



I just had some work done on the truck and when I got it home I pulled the airbox to put back on my boost elbow and noticed the lower end of the hose was torn/smashed around the end of it. I don't think it's leaking but it's real close to being on the wrong side of the clamp area.

Of all the things that could be added to make the engine compartment look better... I think it would be a polished aluminum or black smooth type hose. I personally think the stock hose looks too much like 4" Hancor drainage pipe I used to plumb the gutters together. I'm surprised nobody makes one to replace the stocker. There used to be one for first gens in the classifieds that looked nice. It included the nice silicon type ends like the hump hoses for the intercooler.



Anybody out there mandrel bend 4" tubing?
