Friends,

I actually installed the aircraft style cargo mounting system over a year ago, but didn't mention it. Yesterday I used the cargo bolt accessory to mount Yakima rack gutter mount with Yakima gutter mount towers and rack. I installed a Northern Tool Ladder Rack onto the front grill guard to support the front of my 14 foot canoe.

I can mount an aero wing, my canoe, over size long poles, etc. When I mounted the aircraft cargo system, warped the aluminum so it contoured with the roof, applied commercial adhesive to it, and screwed # 12 cone head sheetmetal screws. This is a great, inexpensive, durable, and flexible mounting system. NOTE: I measured THREE times before drilling. Also, this is PERMANENT, virtually WILL NOT come off, which is the intention. Ready to go camping and canoeing tomorrow.

Many Cheers, Ron

Sure hope your air compressor is installed and working, I am concern with that canoe is going to catch lot's of air going down the highway keep eye on it kindly.

It does catch air, but not too much... thanks for the concern.:D I have the rest of the day to complete compressor project...shifted and soldered electric auxiliary switch wiring yesterday. Just air lines left and air gauge in the truck.

More pics of that coming on that thread.

Cheers, Ron
