Ford Voids Warranty on 2 week truck with a BOX

It is official, DC to sell NVG

I AM! But I am not too "up" on the diesel engines in aircraft now. We can talk turbine!

I know they are approved but not sure what brands or sizes are out yet.

Real airplanes go "whir" not "bang, bang, bang".

:D :D :D

Let's talk helicopter's... ... one's with turbine whine though ;)

Actually the new diesel's comming out for the small planes sound pretty nice, still a little heavy but economy and power are awesome.

I'm still stuck on round engines.

Glad to see the diesels are being made round. Would be neat to see one in action in the real world.

I need to go fly now.

I just hate turbo props. Smell bad, burn fuel like its free. But they do make power like crazy.

I was surprised to see a round diesel. I had guessed they would be inlines. I work around 50-60 year old radial birds so I've got a soft spot for them.

Wonder what one of those engines will cost? Wont be cheap. I need to tell the guy I rent a plane from to replace his worn out IO-360 with a horizontal diesel.

Aircraft diesels

I looked at that web-site with the German aircraft diesel. Run the sound file on the site. That engine sounds sweet. It's a two stroke diesel with a turbo.

I'm in... trying to figure out which diesel to run in an RV-8.

Seems the promises of 3000 TBO and others aren't coming true exactly. I think companies putting out the aviation diesels are pricing them high and making low TBOs (time between overhauls) because they can.

The shortage of 150-200 HP gas engines is certainly raising the prices of everything.

This is one that looks promising... delta hawk diesel
