Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Airdog 100 install?

Is there any downside to leaving the factory filter setup in place, the filter will probably never get dirty and the Airdog should push the fuel through like a champ. Extra filtration, or is that just dumb.

I've heard that leaving the factory filter in place would create more restriction. I have heard that guys leave the filter housing in place without the filter in it, because they still want the heater.

I left my oem filter in place for extra filtration. I'll post some psi numbers ASAP. Due to a bad ECM I haven't been driving for the past month and had oh so wonderful quadzilla POS problems before that, so I had no accurate psi readings before the airdog. Sometime in the next few weeks i hope! I'll keep you posted... ... .....
