Here is my 2 micron filter after 25000 miles of good clean California Diesel.

Please tell me that filter starts off black when new... ...

How was the install? Do you notice a difference in fuel economy, HP, ect?

Is that the recommended interval for changing? What do the filters run you, if you don't mind me asking.

I believe there is a naturally occuring substance in diesel fuel that will turn the filter black over time. Every filter I've seen has been black with much time on it.

That's what my FASS filter looked like too... it's amazing how much garbage there is in our fuel. No wonder there is as much fuel system related problems as there exists.

They can't be any harder than a FASS, and that wasn't complicated.



See if you can get someone to send you the installation instruction... then you can see what is involved.
