"Word of mouth" size... . so not sure.
Yeah, call em or email for us will ya?

HeavyHauler said:It looks like those CAT filters that you mentioned have a smaller diameter gasket on them. The gasket on the AirDog filters go to the rim of the can (as shown above) where the CAT filters look to have at least 1/4" between the outer edge of the gasket and the edge of the can.
DWeiler said:Love my Airdog, just changed my fuel filter (5617) for winter use and then go back to the 5613 over summer. Last winter with the stock Airdog filter(5 micron rating) i had some pressure fluctuations in some fairly cold weather with lots of fuel additive. I though maybe up here that running the 5613(5micron rating) might be a little to much filtering with the winter blended fuel. I'll try this for now and see how this winter goes, its not uncommon to see -30/-40 belowC in Dec/Jan/Feb. Filters from Cummins in Calgary-5613(14. 38),5617(13. 56)CAN$$$. Later DW
HeavyHauler said:DWeiler - I have noticed some fuel pressure fluctuations with my AirDog as well. I'm also using the stock AirDog filter which has been on for over a year with the FP still staying above 16-17psi.
I was under the impression that the stock filter was a 10 micron, but apparently this is wrong? For whatever reason, my fuel pressure will hold a steady 17psi when I am running waste engine oil with my fuel, but I have noticed it fluctuating 2-3 psi lately since I haven't run any engine oil.
It will swing all the way from 16psi to 19. 5psi every now and then. Mostly it just swings from 17-19psi when it does fluctuate.
Do you think going to a 7 or 10 micron filter might help?![]()
HeavyHauler said:I guess anything's possible, but I don't see the point of taking a chance when there are 3 different Fleetguard filters that perfectly fit the AirDog.
I'll commend your research though - I'm always interested in having other options.
Briman said:One has to be creative sometimes. The AirDog setup does not allow enough room for most 2 micron filters with 7/8" 14 thread. If one of the Cat filters fits it would be a small victory of sorts. If the Cat filter will fit in the confined diameter allowed by the AirDog and provide 2 micron filtering I would buy you all a beer. You have to come to Utah for it of course.
