Okay, I lost (well, not just yet but it's going) factory Carter style liftpump. This one I got from Vulcan about 10,000 miles ago and I'm wondering if any of you have any experiance in the Airdog FRRP setup instead of replacing it with another Carter. The previous Carter lasted for a long time but I'm pretty disappointed in this most recent one failing so early in it's life.
I already have the pump moved back by the tank and the big lines from Vulcan
A carter is $120 plus shipping versus $299 with free shipping. I realize that I could buy 2 carters for the price of the Airdog but let's be honest, they rarely act up in an area that is handy. One time I lost it on the side of I-5 on Laborday while hauling the camper and towing the boat. Most recently, in the mountains, in freezing cold weather when we needed to be on the road headed home. Since this is a 2wd and with the camper on, it's damn near impossible to crawl under there to change it out.
Thanks for any experiance you might have... ... ..... john
