I will say that following this thread, I have second thoughts about asking the dealer to look at my AISIN. I noticed at second tire rotation some evidence of possible weepage around a few bolts in the tail housing of the t-case, sprayed with brake cleaner and it was there again at 15k service... I'll keep an eye on it, but seeing what happened here, I think I'd rather watch a potential leak than have them proactively "fix it".
I don't know about you all, but it seems when I take things in for warranty repair, I get them back worse than they started... I would rather do it myself... happened with initial quality issues on my 5er.. my wife's Honda (air bag recall they broke the dash). my truck is less than a year old and there are blemishes / discoloration and wrinkles in the door vinyl (between the windows). but I think it would be worse if I asked them to fix it..... seems always to be the case.. take it in for one thing end up with 3 other things in return
Just my 0.02$
I had that conversion with Costco tire many times. They insist on setting thes tire to the door jam inflation, which is for max axle load. I stand their and tell them there is no load in the bed and the rears do NOT need 80 PSI. In the end, I walked out to the truck when they were done and open the door, retrieved my pressure gauge and clip on inflator that I used as a deflator when not on a supply hose, and lower them to the pressure I wanted.
