Anyone have any input on the service life of the aisin auto, with regular service but used , as in tow heavy, might be?

FYI, the go/no go gauge for checking the wheel studs is a U shape tool with an inside dimension of 0.520". If the gauge slips over the stud it has stretched and must be replaced. If you had a caliper you could check it yourself as long as you used the throat of the caliper and not the ends where the tool could measure the bottom of the threads. You want to measure the stud below the threads as well as the threaded area. Or just let the dealer do it.Good mines an 18. Sag your feeling on doing Aisin update firmware? Dealer wants 180.00 to do it.
Is the wheel stud recall a gimmick?

the "new" proper torque value is 129 ft. lbs....that is why you needed studs replacedSeveral of my studs were replaced. I had always torqued 150#'.
