Windshield Washer and Lumbar Support Not Working

Did ya run the hell out of it when new?
Well.....since shift flare is controlled electronically (think transmission programming) I’m not sure how “running the hell out of it” changes the transmission programming.

Maybe @sag2 can correct me if I’m wrong.

I recall having a 9,500 lb 40’ gooseneck attached to The Radio Flyer at the 200 mile mark.....destined for Mt Pleasant, TX.

White Lightning only received a small break-in from Mt Sterling, KY to Sikeston, MO (for the new CM bed) and back home before going straight into getting worked well.

The only way to avoid a slight flair in between shifts is with a DCT. Otherwise, they all slip in between shifts.

Wow, I didn't expect this much excitement over a little question. How ever I love all the view points. What I gather is this, it is a beast of a transmission especially for what I do, it has it's own quirks sort of like me and it is a love it or hate it relations ship. If it lasts me 20 years+ and gets me from point A to Point B I am a happy camper. I told my wife I should go buy a camper trail for deer camp instead of taking the motor home. The look was not good. :p Some day I will win that one. Thanks for posting everyone.

Thanks, I figure I will get use to it as well. The one thing I do miss from 99 is the sound of the engine and turbo. It puts the wife to sleep and makes for a nice quite drive. Now she stays awake and wants to talk.
The quietness of my 3rd is an attribute. We don't have to yell at one another in order to converse as we did with my 24v.

My 2017 Ram 5500 is the first vehicle I didnt mod or eliminate muffler. In my old age I do like the quite. Seems all of the 6 previously and currently owned put wife and pets to sleep almost instantly.

Cheers, Ron

Not sure what you call old age, I'm almost 60 and not considering my self old yet but I will say it is nice to be able to listen to the radio without cranking it. The wife and I have not gone on a long trip, over 100 miles nonstop but i think with the comfy seats she will fall asleep as well. With all the electronic surveillance gizmos on these new trucks I don't think there is much we can mod without throwing a fist full of codes.

We did a 377 mile road trip Monday from Western Washington East over Stevens Pass, North along the Columbia River and back West over North Cascades Pass. I wish the Lie-O-Meter was a little more accurate, hand cal mileage was 20.75, mountain driving to boot.

KB,
It's more or less a figure of speech... I just have outgrown loud exhausts. My 2017 and my wifes 2019 Rams are also the first two vehicles I didnt remove the entire interior and install DynaMat Extreme. Both of our trucks have xtra sound deadening. I'm 62 YY.

Cheers, Ron

Had a loud exhaust on our 1993 IDI. Not quite like a 454 sound, but, rattled plates on the wall and sounded good. Also it was stalled so was always loud. Great fun in town as a DD. At full power towing on grades around here long distance (all day) the noise simply got fatiguing.

The Garrett BB turbo on my 2003 was also fun and would quiet down under full power towing.

Now my 2018 is so quiet the dogs don't even know when I get home. They would bark when I was a block away with the other trucks.
