Aisin Trans in SRW

I tried to order a SRW with the aisin trans. Was told I can only get that trans with dual rear wheels. I went to a dealership to check out a 2013 SRW with the aisin in it. It was a short bed,I want a long bed. Does anyone know when the aisin will be available in the 2014 SRW ?Just my luck,the wife says I can order a new truck and I can't get what I want.

from what I understand, yes. Youu can get the aisin, the high hp diesel in a SRW Ram 3500. Apparently you can get neither in a Ram 2500 though.

I have been trying to order a 3500, srw with the Aisin for three weeks. Yesterday the restriction was lifted and the order was accepted.

Meanwhile there are left over 2013s waiting to be adopted While surfing ramtrucks inventory, I have found a good number of long bed crew cabs with the Aisin transmission. If you want to spend at least $4000 more and wait for a 2014, that is your decision.

My dealer has informed me that the Aisin is only available with the Max Tow Package, which is a 3500 DRW

Your dealer gets the "I am Stupid" award from Jeff Foxworthy. I have seen numerous SRW 3500 pickups with the Aisin, and they sure as H aren't max tow dually Rams! Don't even waste your money buying there. There are lots of Cummins/Aisin Rams across the country at www.ramtrucks.com which has the complete inventory.

If you go on Ramtrucks, you use your zip code and can go up to 1000 miles away in inventory; avoid trucks with RR in the VIN to avoid looking at dually Rams.
