Aisin transmission ID

What's the easiest way to ID an Aisin transmission? Getting conflicting info from dealer on a 2014 3500.

Look under the hood. Facing the front of the engine, if the transmission dipstick is on the left (passenger) side, it's a 68RFE. If it's on the right (driver) side, it's an Aisin.

Post up the VIN if you have it handy.

You or your dealer can check the list of sales codes for that particular VIN. If it has a DG7 sales code, that is the 68RFE trans. If it has a DF2 sales code, that is the Aisin AS69RC trans.

Also if looking without hood open look under. Aisin pan has a drain plug 68 does not.

Went to see the truck. Did not have the Aisin transmission and fell short in a few other ares as well, not to mention that they felt like it was the best used truck, EVER.
