Well HSmartass, I guess they will know all about it now, now that you made a bigger issue than it was. Keep your &*%$($@ nose where it belongs, up your ash.

Ok guys, I have put no performance enhancement equipment on my truck, it is at stock power and will stay there.

Geez EB, I thought I was doing good with 266,000+ mostly trouble free miles on my hard working 08 CC. Sticking on topic, my Aisin has been completely trouble free. Out here in Colorado oil field work requires a lot of mountain driving and that trans rocks. Mostly my temps stay below 200 but a couple times on slow steep dirt lease roads with a heavy trailer I've had temp control problems. I've considered electric fans just for this problem, but even with the occasional temps hitting well over 200 I've not had any issues. Like you though I don't consider this thing a race truck and its bone stock. Its my livelihood and doesn't make me money sitting in the shop.

I hear ya, I can see where things might heat up in the mountains pulling steep and slow. We don't have anything like that here in S. Texas, every now and then there will be a soft road, but the land owners are now requiring the oil companies to put in good roads. They really need them to haul out all the crude they are finding. Wish I had some of it.

That's like saying they chose the G56 on there 3500's because of there strength ... ... ... ... . Oh wait... ... .

Good analogy! I had to have my dealer search for a new '05 with the NV5600 when I bought in September of '05 - sure glad I did that! The G56 has shown 'The Power of German Engineering' for what it is - all show and no go.

The G56 needs an iron case. If in doubt, take apart your 10,000 mile G56 that seems to be find and check the endplay. You will be adding some shims to compensate for case stretch. As for the Aisin, some people can break anything, especialy if "all I did was add a little box" or a "light reprogram." And also remember that the new AS69RC is a lot beefier than the 68 used previously. The Aisin is also made in USA (Indiana). Look at the tag on the side of it.
