Romanian M-44 ($79)

Refinish stock,

Cut off bayonet & touch up,

A little elbow grease with bore polish,

Turned down bolt handle from ebay ($25),

Recoil pad replacement for buttplate ($15),

Sling from surplus store ($15),

Dog collars from Petco ($10),



You still have money left over for lots of ammo!

Just bought a used Colt AR for $1200. 00 and love it. AK's are nice if your going to need a close range auto. But the Colt AR is more of a Classic that will retain its value and when your kids pass it along to thier kids, it will be worth a whole lot more as well as be just as accurate.
